Dalian Municipal Science and Technology Bureau has released the list of winning projects for 2015 Dalian Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award. ZWZ won the first prize for its key technique research and application project of heavy axle-load railway wagon rolling bearings.
This project, based on the reliability requirements of heavy axle-load railway wagon rolling bearings, carried out a series of R&D work concerning heavy-duty compact bearing design technology, low torque seal technology, rolling element high stable operation technology, non-uniform wall thickness ring gradient controlled heat treatment technology and bearing test technology. Key technologies of rolling bearings special for heavy axle-load railway wagon application mastered during the R&D period contributed to the launch of 353132X2-2RS, a heavy axle-load railway wagon rolling bearing, which can be used to replace imported bearings such as Timken, SKF and other well-known brands as proved through the comparison tests.
The new product is already put into in volume production, with more than 22,500 sets delivered, achieving the sales income of 110 million yuan and profits of over 30 million yuan.
