ZWZ developed four high-speed wire rod finishing mill bearings
Four high-speed wire rod finishing mill bearings of different specifications developed by Wafangdian Bearing Group (ZWZ) were installed for trial operation in October, which were proved to meet all requirements of the customer specialized in processing and manufacturing high-speed wire rod mills and metallurgical machinery equipment to Europe market.
A high-speed wire rod finishing mill generally consists of 10 sets of equipment, each of which is formed by a cone box and a roll box. These four bearings were installed in the 6th, 9th and 10th box. Wherein, the 9th box and the 10th box have run through the trial operation, with all performance requirements satisfied by the customer, while the 6th box is still being debugged.
High-speed bearing has been the weak point in domestic bearing industry. ZWZ set up a high-speed bearing R & D team to break the technology barriers of high-speed wire rod finishing mill bearings and successfully developed four products in the first half year. After testing, these bearings can reach the speed up to 17000rpm, ending the long-term dependence on import for high-speed wire rod finishing mill bearings.
