Zhejiang Continents Xinchun Group Won the Title of Top Ten Outstanding Supplier (pic)

On June 21, 2010, Schaeffler Greater China held the first suppliers meeting in Taicang, Jiangsu. Zhao Xuezhong, the Vice General Manager of Zhejiang Continents Xinchun Group and Huang Xuezhong, the Export Manager have participated in the meeting as invited.

Schaeffler Group is one of the top 500 companies in the world in Germany. In 2008, the sales revenue was 26.4 billion EUR. It can produce rolling bearings and linear motion products in the world and is active in the automobile manufacturing, industrial manufacturing and aerospace area, which is one of the well-known suppliers in automobile manufacturing industry. Its fine technology makes great contribution in improving the driving safety and protecting the global climate. It has three well-known brands in the world : INA, FAG, and LUK.

The meeting is the first large-scale communicating meeting among the suppliers since Schaeffler Group set the factory in China a decade ago. On the meeting, Nis-Peter Iwersen, the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing Asia Pacific and Gou Jiahui, the President of Schaeffler Greater China have delivered important address, focusing on the purchase plan in between 2010 and 2013, long-term objectives and development concepts. To achieve these objectives, they required the suppliers to do the following: production capacity investment plans, cost optimizing, enhancing supply chain system, stable quality, technology development and project management. During the following three years, Schaeffler Group will adjust the global suppliers and then the number of suppliers will be reduced a half.
At last, the outstanding suppliers of 2009 were commended and totally 10 direct material suppliers and indirect material suppliers were awarded. As the direct material supplier, Zhejiang Continents Xinchun Group won the title of top ten outstanding supplier; it is the only domestic enterprise winning the award, which is the hornor of the Group and also showed that the long-term strategic cooperation between the two parties will be more stable in the future.
