Xiwang Special Steel to Start Construction of Alloy Steel Pipe Project

Mr Wang Yong, chairman of Xiwang Special Steel Co, which is a subsidiary of Shandong Province based China steelmaker Xiwang Group, has stated that construction work on the company's high strength alloy steel pipe project will start early in the second half of 2012, with commissioning expected in the third quarter. The planned annual output capacity is 2 million tonnes.

Xiwang Special Steel aims to focus its production increasingly on high end special steel products such as stainless steel and high strength alloy steel, with the target of eventually becoming the largest stainless producer in Shandong Province.

The steelmaker currently has two electric arc furnaces and produces quality special steel products such as bearing steel, spring steel, high strength alloy steel and stainless steel.
