Xiangfan High & New Tech Zone, A New Auto Parts Export Base
In the end of Sept. 115 packages of auto wheel hub bearings made by Xiangfan New Torch Auto Parts Co.,Ltd have been exported to America. Statistically,in 2006 companies in Xiangfan High & New Tech Development Zone have earned foreign exchange over USD45 million up to Sept. growing by 70 percent from the corresponding period last year. Xiangfan New Torch Auto Parts Co.,ltd is one of the companies settled in the development zone.
Export items from Xiangfan High&New Tech Zone are mainly high tech products like auto parts, new material etc. Currently, 23 enterprises have settled in the zone. Among them 2 companies' annual export value exceed USD10 million; other 15 ones' is more than USD1 million individually. Their products have been exported to 28 countries in Europe, America and other continents.
Large state-run enterprises and privatized military enterprises are the main force exporter in the zone.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation, for example, proceed from improving marketing network and service system, organize delegation carrying out market research in foreign countries. As a result, their export products have been expanded from only several kinds to a diaversified product-mix, such as trucks, pickups, buses etc. Also, Dongfeng have built plants in Ukrain, Malaysia, Pakistan and other countries.
During the first 8 months, Dongfeng Motor have earned foreign exchange USD16.58 million, 77.14 percent higher than corresponding period last year.
To support exporters' expansion and development, Xiangfan High & New Tech Development Zone actively implement the state export subsidy and other preferential policies, providing great support in areas of technical research, financing etc.
