Recently, Economy Week, a Germany magazine, released a list of World Top 100 Challenge Enterprises, including Wanxiang Group.
There are altogether 44 Chinese enterprises included in the list. From the stand of Germany enterprises, the magazine also selected 12 enterprises from the 100 listed ones as the most "threaten" enterprises, Wanxiang were included for the second time.
Nowaday, globalization is flourishing and countries of the RDE(rapidly developing economies) is playing an increasingly important role in the world market. In order to know more about this RDE countries, Economy Week chose 100 enterprises from 12 RDE countries worldwide and made the "Top 100" list for later research. Whether an enterprises can be listed depend on many factors, such as enterprise size, international activity, preparation for prospective globalization etc.
It is reported that the 100 enterprises enjoyed an average annual growth rate of 24 percent from 2000 to 2004; total sales of them were $0.715 trillion in 2004; average profit margin hit 20 percent, much higher than the 9 percent of those companies listed on NASDAQ. Therefore, Economy Week said the domestic enterprises should pay attention to the development of the Top 100 enterprises, especially the 12 most "threaten" enterprises, who may become major competitors against them.
Of the "Top 100", Wanxiang, Haier and Baosteel are the most competitive Chinese enterprises.
