Wanxiang Bearing Qualified as FAW Supplier
It is reported that Wanxiang Bearing Company again achieve breakthrough in parts supplying for domestic auto enterprises after their recent success in supplying European, East Asian and other customers.
According to Wanxiang Bearing, they have been qualified as regular supplier for a specific automobile made by First Auto Works(FAW). And contracts have been signed, stipulating both parties rights and responsibilities on technology, supplying and developing new products.
This cooperation means that Wanxiang Group, including its bearing and auto parts division, will establish extensive partnership with FAW in more fields. What's more, it is of historic importance for Wanxiang to substitute its QC brand bearings for those produced by other two famous Chinese bearing suppliers. As we knew, the substituted ones have been in service on that type of FAW auto for over 30 years.
China FAW Group Corporation, commonly referred to as FAW due to its original name of First Automotive Works, broke ground for its first factory on July 15, 1953. Since then, FAW has been at the forefront of promoting China's automobile industry. Although FAW began life solely as a truck producer, it later expanded into the light-duty truck and car sector.
In 1991, working in partnership with Volkswagen AG, FAW created a new state-of-the-art production facility with a yearly production capacity in excess of 150,000 units. In 2002, Tianjin Automobile Industry (Group) Corporation was merged into FAW Group Corporation, and began joint venture production with Toyota Motor Corporation.
At present, FAW's current production strategies put a heavier emphasis on the production of cars while maintaining dominant position in the truck industry.
