Vestas To Supply 58 MW Wind Farm In Poland

Vestas has received an order from EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) to supply turbines for a 58 MW wind farm in Poland. The contract is part of a frame agreement signed between the two companies in 2011.

The deal includes foundation works, supply, installation and commissioning of 29 V100-2.0 MW turbines, along with a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution and a two-year service agreement. Vestas expects turbine delivery to begin in the first quarter of 2015, with commissioning to be completed in the fourth quarter of that year.

"It is a pleasure for us to announce another large order for Poland and to further build on the long-term partnership with our highly valued customer EDF EN,” comments Klaus Steen Mortensen, president of Vestas Northern Europe.

Vestas notes that it has delivered about 540 wind turbines, totaling more than 1.1 GW, in Poland to date.
