Vestas confirms 65-MW wind order from OX2 in Sweden
Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) confirmed on Thursday it has received an order from long-term partner OX2 for the 65-MW Hogkolen wind project in eastern Sweden.
Vestas will supply, install and commission 18 units of its V126-3.45 MW turbines, with power optimised mode to 3.6 MW. The order also includes the Vestas de-icing system and a 10-year Active Output Management service agreement (AOM5000).
The Danish company will start turbine deliveries in the second quarter of 2018.
This is the fourth order placed by OX2 this year, Vestas noted. The two companies have been cooperating for more than 10 years now and this partnership has yielded over 900 MW of wind projects in the Nordics, it added.
A day earlier, OX2 announced it has agreed to sell the Hogkolen wind park in Ljusdal municipality to alternative asset manager Aquila Capital.
