UBC Encouraged to Expand Operations in Pakistan

UBC Bearing of America Inc. is being courted and encouraged by the government of Pakistan to set up bearing manufacturing operations in that country.

UBC manufactures branded ball and roller bearings, pillow block and flange units for a wide array of OEM and replacement markets worldwide. The company also produces inner and outer races for other bearing manufacturers.

With owned operations in over 20 countries, UBC became the first bearing company to set up a joint venture in Pakistan, UBC Pakistan Pvt. Ltd., in 2005.

In 2006, UBC became the first U.S.-linked bearing company to participate in Karachi's International Garments and Textile Machinery and Accessories Exhibition (IGATEX), one of the region's most important trade shows.

UBC manufactures bearings and rings at three plants in China: Zhongshan, Yuyao, and Haining.
