Tristar Supplies Bearings for Tempering Ovens

Tristar has provided its Rulon LR bearings to a manufacturer of tempered glass, which is used to produce shower and bath enclosures, for use in tempering ovens.

The oven temperature varies from zone to zone with the highest at 500-550F on a continuous basis, but drops as the glass goes through the cooling zones.



Rulon LR is suitable for this application because of its temperature resistance, self-lubricating features and its strong wear resistance.

According to Tristar, Rulon LR can withstand many months of 24/7 service and offers the end user a maintenance-free solution in a difficult environment.

All Rulon materials have PVs of up to 10,000 with loads of 1,000psi and speeds of 400sfpm.

The continuous operating temperature for Rulon bearings is -400 to +550F.
Tristar has several other industrial oven applications where Rulon is being utilised.

Other examples include LCD manufacturing and charbroil conveying ovens.
