Tristar Plastics has Supplied its Rulon 641 Bearings to a Producer of Speciality Ovens to Eliminate High-Temperature, Food-Grade Grease

The challenge was to eliminate the grease and introduce a material that could run against 300 series stainless without wear. The Rulon 641 material is said to be ideal for the oven-door gear drives. Since no lubrication is required, the maintenance time and mess associated with grease is eliminated.

Rulon 641 offers the end user a self-lubricating, low-friction, Food and Drug Administration-compliant bearing that not only withstands the high operating temperatures but does so without maintenance or noise.



The Rulon 641 material is non-abrasive and will not wear the mating stainless-steel shafts. It requires no special installation tools, operates at temperatures from -400F to +550F and can be cleaned using any sterilisation procedures required.

Rulon 641 can be used in any food preparation equipment (meat, poultry and vegetables), fruit processing machinery and packaging and bottling equipment.
