TriMas division buys British fastener company for $9.6M

Bloomfield Hills-based TriMas Corp. announced last week its Lamons Gasket Co. energy division had closed a deal to purchase U.K.-based Wulfrun Specialised Fasteners Ltd. for approximately $9.6 million, expanding its manufacturing capability and product portfolio.

The final purchase price is subject to a net working capital adjustment.

Wulfrun manufactures and distributes specialty bolting and computer numerical control-machined components for oil and gas, pipeline and power generation uses.

The newly acquired company will allow Lamons to "provide specialty bolts to new and existing customers through our current network of branches," Lamons President Kurt Allen said in a statement.
