Timken XEMC (Hunan) Bearings Co., Ltd Delivered First Batch of Extra Large Size Wind Power Bearing

Timken Company posted its joint venture in Xiangtan, Hunan Province--- Timken XEMC (Hunan) Bearings Co., Ltd has delivered the first batch of extra large size bearing products to XEMC Wind Power Co., Ltd.recently. The outer diameter of these Timken double row tapered roller bearings is near 2m.

This joint venture is the latest strategic investment measure of Timken Company in Asian region. The construction of the plant was finished in record-breaking short time to meet the demand of China wind power generator manufacturing industry for extra large size bearings.

"We utilize the technology of power transmission and material science accumulated for more than one century in this joint venture to meet the demand of new energy in Chinese market." Feng Shilong, the President of Timken China Region said, "the new plant is dedicated to provide environmental and continuous power source for the rapid development of China economy, which is also consistent with the aim of Chinese government to achieve the development and application of renewable resource. We are very glad to make great contributions to the development of renewable energy,espeically, the wind power industry through latest technology."

Besides the production of wind power bearings in Wuxi China, Chennai India and Ploiesti Romania, Timken Company has renewed the equipments and expanded the plant area of Asheboro Plant in North Carolina and the plant in South Carolina in USA to provide better service to the customers. In addition, the clean steel prodcuts manufactured by the plant in Canton, Ohio---the headquarter of Timken Company are not only used for Timken bearing products but also provide various steel parts for many wind power customers.
