Timken Wuxi Bearing Plant Goes into Production

Timken, one of the world's top three bearing producers based in the United States, announced that its bearing plant in the New Area of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province came on stream Wednesday.

The new plant will make Timken Wuxi Bearing Co. Ltd., a solely- owned subsidiary of Timken in China, a major provider of large bore bearings to Asian customers and even global customers. Timken Wuxi now mainly produces small bearings.

As the second phase development project of Timken costing 150 million US dollars, the new plant will create a yearly sales revenue of 250 to 300 million U.S. dollars after going into full operation.

Timken Wuxi was set up in 2004 and it was the biggest investment project of Timken in the globe then.
