Timken spends $122K lobbying Congress in 4Q

Timken Co., which makes bearings for the aerospace, automotive, construction and energy industries, spent $121,780 in the fourth quarter to lobby the federal government on health care reform, defense and other issues.

That's down from the $138,100 it spent lobbying the government in the third quarter and less than the $235,000 it spent a year ago period, the company said in a recent disclosure.

Timken also lobbied both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on labor and antitrust issues, taxation, foreign trade, renewable energy, climate change and retirement issues during the three month period ended in December.
