TIMKEN Fund Visit Yantai Engineering Professional Training School
The TIMKEN Fund delegation visited Yantai Engineering Professional Training School on Nov. 10 2006 for an inspection. The four-member-delegation include Jack Timken, former chairman of TIMKEN and present director of TIMKEN Fund, his wife and Zhou shiping, general manager of TIMKEN Yantan Co.,Ltd, Han rendong, assistant vice general manager of TIMKEN Yantai. Yu yuantao, deputy secretary of CPC and deputy principal in the school with other administrative staffs received the foreign guests.
After a friendly talk between both sides, the TIMKEN Fund delegation were led to tour part of the school's teaching facilities, being told some detail about their training programs.
Yu, on behalf of the faculty, appreciated the visiting of TIMKEN Fund delegation. He said that although this is the first time that he see Mr. Timken, the cooperation between two parties had been started since a long time ago. Now many of their graduates are working in TIMKEN's branches in China. In future, the school will strenghen their tie with TIMKEN, training more useful personnels.
In reply, Mr. Timken expressed his appreciation for the school's welcome and gave a short introduction of TIMKEN company and its Fund. Meanwhile, he thanked for the support of TIMKEN Yantai company.
According to Mr. Timken, Yantai Engineering Professional Training School is not only a stable source of qualified personnels for TIMKEN, but also a place where on-the-job workers can receive specialized training to improve their quality.
