TIMKEN Establish Jiaotong University Scholarship
Dec. 14, TIMKEN announced to establish a Shanghai Jiaotong University Scholarship together with the mentioned university. The scholarship will serve as a reward to engineering-majored outstanding students, encouraging and helping them to be the valuable personnel in China's engineering industry.
This scholarship is available to Bachelor and Master-oriented students enrolled in Jiaotong University's Machinery and Engineering College and the Material Science College. Scholarship winners will enjoy financial assist as well as the opportunity to visit TIMEKN Engineer Training Center in Wuxi, having face-to-face contact with professional engineers, learning about the world advanced bearing technologies.
Earlier, TIMKEN have established similar scholarships with Beihang University(BUAA) and Henan Science & Technology University to cultivate engineering talents of different levels. Meanwhile, they have planned to strengthen their partnership with Chinese universities, open some training courses to promote academic exchange and pool more ideas.
Besides the three scholarships TIMKEN had established, they also build a Engineer Training Center in Wuxi city, aiming to cultivate TIMKEN's Chinese engineers and develop improved technologies to suit Chinese market. Recently, the first group of engineers have graduated from this center.
In the following years, TIMKEN will help Chinese leading engineering universities, like Shanghai Jiaotong University, train more outstanding graduates and build a first-class engineer contingent with innovation, through speeding up their developing pace in China.
