Timken Co. names Farkas sales manager of Interlube products

Timken announced this week the appointment of Joseph E. Farkas of Canal Fulton to the position of national sales manager for the company’s Interlube product line, according to a news release from the company.

Timken acquired the line of high-performance automated lubrication delivery systems in March 2013 when it bought Interlube Systems Ltd. Interlube products are used widely in the commercial vehicle, construction, mining, and heavy and general industrial market sectors, the release states.

Farkas, a Massillon native, brings to Timken experience from a variety of industrial sales positions, including a previous role with Timken as a machinist in its Canton bearing operations. He holds an associate degree in mechanical engineering from Stark State College in Jackson Township; a bachelor’s degree in business management from Canton’s Malone University and a master’s degree in business administration from Ashland University, according to the release.
