Timken Applicants Should Contact Jobs Commission

The Timken Co. has announced changes in the application process for 100 new jobs at its 300,000-square-foot facility at Spartan Green business park in Duncan, which is expected to open in December.

Timken said it has already received a flood of inquiries since Thursday's announcement, and wants to advise individuals interested in applying for positions that Timken facilities cannot accept calls or applications for these jobs.

The company said applicants for the expanded Spartanburg distribution facility must call or visit the Employment Security Commission in Spartanburg, at 364 S. Church St. That office's phone number is 573-7525.
