THK President Visit Wuxi
Nov. 22, Gong peixing, member of Municiple committee of the CPC and executive vice mayor in Wuxi, received the THK delegation in Hubin Hotel.
The delegation, led by Akihiro Teramachi, THK's president and CEO, visit Wuxi to talk with Wuxi authority about operating scheme of THK Manufacturing of China(Wuxi)Co., Ltd after its second stage construction and their further plan in China.
THK Manufacturing of China(Wuxi)Co., Ltd is funded solely by THK Corp. The first stage construction of the company cost USD90 million, registered capital hit USD60 million. They mainly produce high-tech based precision linear guide and related parts. The second stage construction has begun since April 2006 and had planned to be completed in late November. So far, there are no specific news about it.
During the meeting with THK delegation, Gong peixing said that settlement of THK in Wuxi will remarkably promote the development of local industry. Also, Gong wishes that THK would pay much more attention to developing and research, expanding the application of their products; cooperate and exchange with local universities and institutes more frequently, strengthing cultivation of professionals.
Additionally, local government will carry out some favorable policies to support THK's developmeng in Wuxi.
