The Waukesha Bearings plant in West Greenwich is expected to close early in 2015

The West Greenwich office of a Wisconsin-based company is closing early next year, resulting in the loss of manufacturing jobs in Rhode Island.

Waukesha Bearings builds bearings and seals for oil drilling, power plants and wind turbines.

The company president told NBC 10 News that it is moving to Mexico and other locations in North America because the scale of the facility in those locations fits better than Rhode Island.

The Rhode Island facility has been in place for more than 10 years.

The closure means the loss of 39 full-time jobs and four temporary jobs.
