The Trial Production Oil Tank for Thrust Bearing Test in Liyang Succeeded

Recently, single corrugated elastic oil tank for pumped-storage thrust bearing test in the sub hydropower plant of Liyang city, Jiangsu province passed assessment of the primary press and load experiments successfully. After the completion of surface finishing, the elastic oil tank was installed to 3000t thrust bearing experiment table for the unit test in real operating conditions.

The successful production of elastic oil tank won valuable time for taking thrust bearing test in Liyang.

When Liyang Pumped-storage Hydropower Plant submitted the tender, Harbin Institute of Large Electrical Machinery recommended the Babbitt thrust bearing system supported by single corrugated elastic oil tank . It was specified in the contract that Harbin Institute of Large Electrical Machinery must completed the simulation test in full conditions for Liyang thrust bearing test system. This project is the first time for the institute to adopt this system in pumped-storage unit.
