The offshore wind power project of Dalian Island in Pingtan county with a total investment of 6 billion yuan started operation

 It is known from Party Work Committee of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Area in Fujian province that the offshore wind power project of Dalian Island in Pingtan county with a total investment of 6 billion yuan has been under construction recently.

Constructed by CGN (Fujian) Wind Energy Limited with a total investment of about 6 billion yuan, the project will be equipped with 60 sets of offshore wind turbines of 5 MW, and build a land step-up substation of 220 KV at the same time. It will take 36 months to finish the construction of the project, of which the first group of turbines are supposed to be put into practice by the end of 2017 with all turbines operational by the end of 2019.

After the practice of the project, the wind power farm will replace 311,000 tons of standard coal each year, reduce the emission of sulfur oxide by 2165.82 tons, the nitrogen oxides by 236.89 tons, the carbon monoxide by 2.8245 million tons, the discharge of ash by 88,000 tons and the smoke particles by 47.38 tons and can save 2.1 million tons of water every year, bringing significant benefits to the environment.
