The 420mm Heavy Slab casting machine developed by Xinyu Iron& Steel Group Co., Ltd. is completed and put into production successfully on the afternoon of 10th, March,2011.

The engineering project of 420mm Heavy Slab casting machine which is invested around 500 million yuan in total is the largest one of the new technology improvement projects of the Xinyu Iron& Steel Group Co., Ltd.
It was officially launched in October, 2009 and constructed in May, 2010.

The annual capacity production of the project is planned to reach 1.4 million ton. It mainly includes a 210tLF ladle refining furnace, a 210tVD refining furnace, a Heavy Slab casting machine with maximum thickness of 420mm, and the public auxiliary facilities.

The completion and application of the 420mm Heavy Slab casting machine developed by Xinyu Iron& Steel Group Co., Ltd will have an important impact on steel industry from home and abroad.
