The first fast neutron reactor top-cover bearing has been developed in Liaoning General Machinery Group Corp(LGMGC). With this kind of bearing, the shield top-cover could rotate freely and keep the reactor well sealed from outside.
Owing to the special working condition, no one can approach the bearing to do some maintenance work. Therefore, strict requirements must be guaranteed in the aspects of material and craft. And rigorous quality control system is necessary for all procedures like design, processing, mounting and testing before the bearing being put into practial use. With the assistance of China Atomic Energy Institute and China Heavy Machinery No.1 Corp, the bearing come into existence in the plant of Liaoning General Machinery Group Corp.
LGMGC is the former Anshan Bearing Plant which later become the authorized bearing manufacturer of the State Machinery Ministry for their incomparable strength. After their transformation and products mix adjusting in 1998, the plant featured their production by three major production lines in the same plant. They are production line of ultra-large bearings, pressure vessel like oil-free compressor and processing machines. Additionally, the company scale become larger and larger through 6 acquisition cases. Integration of their empolyers, technologies and capital got improved.
