2016 is the first year of carrying out the Thirteenth Five-year Plan. With the joint efforts of enterprises in the bearing industry, the bearing industry has made new achievements in different aspects with at an average pace required by the Thirteenth Five-year Plan. In order to make a general conclusion for the bearing industry in 2016, ten important events that significantly influence the development of bearing industry were selected as follows:
1.The Thirteenth Five-year Plan for the bearing industry was officially released.
2.The Eighth Meeting of Members of China Bearing Industry Association was convened and the Administrative Committee was successfully transited.
3.Shanghai International Bearing Summit was successfully held in 2016.
4.International Bearing and Special Equipment Exhibition of China opened in Shanghai in 2016.
5. The Party Committee of Wafangdian Bearing Group was awarded as "National Advanced Basic-level Party Organization".
6. Longxi Bearing was selected among the first group of demonstrative enterprises of "Single Champion of Manufacturing" designated by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.
7. The nationalization of base bearing of shield tunneling machine developed by LYC has made a significant breakthrough.
8. The arresting cable bearing developed by Wafangdian Bearing group was successfully applied to domestic aircraft carriers.
9. Bearings of domestic brands were successfully applied to high-end space equipment, namely "Tiangong-II", "Shenzhou- 11".
10.United Engineering Laboratory of "Tribological Technology and Application of High-end Bearing " was established in Henan University of Science and Technology.
