The prize of Market Developing Pioneer of China Iron and Steel Industry Products 2016 has been released recently, and Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group (hereinafter referred to as Taiyuan Iron & Steel) is among the prize list for its high-speed overloading and high quality exported axle steel.
It is known that the award, granted once a year, is specifically set up for iron and steel enterprises which have made great achievements in developing new varieties, improving product quality and increasing the market share of steel products by China Iron and Steel Industry Association. There were eight kinds of products winning the award in 2016.
High-speed overloading and high quality exported axle steel is a significant achievement developed by Taiyuan Iron&Steel when it developed the high-end railway steel with independent intellectual property rights, in response to the development of China’s railway construction. With its high purity, strength, toughness and other key indexes close or up to the international advanced level, the axle steel has been certified by China Railway Corporation, North American Railway Association, American GE Company, Bombardier in Canada, Alstom in France and railway departments of Germany, Korea etc. It made its deput and was first used in China instead of imported ones. At present, the axle steel has been exported to many countries and regions.
