Taiwan's Export of Machinery Equipment Grows Slightly from Jan to Nov

Taiwan's export of machinery equipment remains positive. During January to November in 2008, machinery equipment exported from Taiwan increased
by 6.9% year on year to US$ 14.977 billion (increased by 1.7% year on year to NT$467.9 billion), according to the latest figure released by Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry
(TAMI).

In which, export of machine tools, spare parts and special functional machinery grows strongly.

The recorded export value proves that overseas demand is still stable, TAMI said. However, changes may exist during the period of the fourth quarter, according to the association.
