Split Roller Bearings from Wyko

The SRB bearings from Wyko Industrial Services weigh more than 2 tons each and are used to support the drive shaft of a pump in an aluminum processing plant.
According to the company's press release, the bearings incorporate profiled rollers that minimize edge loading under dynamic misalignment operation. In addition, a full complement of bearings is used without a cage to increase the load bearing capacity.

Cast iron supports are designed with larger cross-sections to increase strength, due to an upward load of 60 tons per bearing. Bearing housings and supports consist of a 250 grade cast iron and are machined to give zero clearance when assembled. This allows the bearings and housings to be fitted into any support, according to Wyko.
