Special Steel Conference Hold in Baosteel
Nov.14, the 1st China International Technical Conference for Special Steel for Auto Parts was held in Baosteel. On the conference, all participants discussed the technologies currently used in domestic special steel industry and the development of steel industry in future.
Mr. He guangyuan, honorary chairman of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers(CAAM), Mr. Wu xichun, advisor of China Iron & Steel Association(CISA) and leaders of Baosteel attended open ceremony of this conference. Also, there are over 170 experts from all related enterprises home and abroad joined this conference. Sponsors of this conference are CISA, CAAM and CITIC(China International Trust Investment Corp), Baosteel provide site for the conference.
In the course of the conference, Mr. Xu lejiang, general manager of Baosteel, said that since the end of 1980s, they had begun to devote themselves to substituting their auto-use steel sheet for imported ones and implement the important marketing strategy of building brand effect for their auto-use products.
Meanwhile, as a producer of auto parts, Baosteel have gradually improve quality of their products, from common to middle and high end ones. So far, they have been qualified as supplier for more than 30 domestic auto-related enterprises, market shares increasing rapidly.
Ms. Xie qihua, chairman of both CISA and Baosteel, said at the opening ceremony that special steel is mainly used in making auto parts, the relationship between special steel and auto industry is characterized by mutual-reliance and mutual-improvement. For a long time, a good partnership has been established between the two industries, this conference will surely promote inter-industrial cooperations.
It is reported that there will be a lecture about "New Generation of Long Steel Products Produced by Microalloying Processing" during the conference.
