RA Rodriguez is offering Kaydon slewing ring bearings for diverse applications such as inclusion in lightweight booms for material handling systems and positioning tables in precision manufacturing.
The Kaydon slewing ring bearing range starts at just 38mm bore diameter and 6.5mm thick.
The benefit of this type of bearing is that it simplifies the design and enables cost-effective and hassle-free assembly, said Rodriguez.
It is a suitable replacement for the traditional 'king post' design.
Normally supplied pre-lubricated, Kaydon slewing ring bearings are sealed and can be specified with integral gear or just plain.
They come with mounting holes as standard, ready to be bolted directly to the assembly.
Two series of Kaydon slewing bearings are available from RA Rodriguez ex-stock.
The standard industrial class MTO bearings with bores ranging from 50mm to 324mm are supplied with through or tapped holes.
Their standard clearance and precision makes them suitable for inclusion in lift booms, assembly tables, rotary transfer lines and indeed any application requiring simple rotary movement.
Where greater accuracy and a smaller design space are the principal criteria, Kaydon Reali-Slim turntable bearings are recommended.
These are now available in sizes from 38mm (1.5in) to 152.4mm (6in) and are just 6.35mm (0.25in) in height.
This range has evolved from the Kaydon Reali-Slim standard range, is manufactured in 440C stainless steel and sealed for life.
As with the standard range, the Kaydon Reali-Slim turntable bearings may be specified with a number of options.
These include internal or external gear or plain diameters, reduced clearance or pre-load and various hole types.
Typically these bearings are used in precision automation systems, inspection tables and radar antennae.
