SKF Sells Logistics Services to IBA

SKF has been chosen by IBA (Ion Beam Applications) for a global spare part distribution. The service will be provided by SKF Logistics Services, a business of SKF Service Division.

SKF Logistics Services is operating a global time phased delivery network, which assures an excellent delivery service to customers around the world. The service was developed to offer SKF distributors an excellent service level, and has been expanded to an increasing number of external customers.

The central warehousing facilities in Tongeren, Belgium, will be used for the global distribution of IBA's spare parts. In a later phase distribution platforms in USA and Asia will be established in order to serve all IBA customers worldwide within 24 hours.

IBA delivers solutions of a unique precision in the fields of cancer diagnosis and therapy.

The company also offers sterilization and ionization solutions to improve the hygiene and safety of everyday life.

The agreement is initially for five years, but the intention and aim is for a longstanding cooperation between SKF Logistics Services and IBA.
