SKF Maintenance Products has launched the new SKF Thermal Camera TKTI 10. This new thermal camera produces thermal images from invisible infrared radiation, used for identifying potential problems caused by overheating.
"The SKF Thermal Camera TKTI 10 is a user-friendly device designed specially for maintenance technicians, offering the familiarity of a digital camera combined with powerful thermal imaging capabilities", says Steve Gething, SKF's Maintenance Products Manager.
Gething explains, "The camera captures and displays both thermal and visual images and with a unique blending feature, the thermal and visual images can be blended allowing easy image interpretation. The thermal camera can identify hot spots and cold spots that can then be used to help make decisions with regard to the maintenance of machinery."
Images are easily viewed on a large backlit 3.1/2" screen, and can be saved to a micro SD card. Comprehensive PC and report-writing software is supplied as standard, which help enable the user to perform advanced data analysis and image enhancement.
"Advanced temperature measurement features are built-in to the camera. Automatic hot spot and cold spot finder, Max/Min temperature view of an area and temperature difference display of two user defined spots to mention just a few. Suitable for industrial environments, the camera is supplied complete with all accessories and software in a padded carrying case," Gething concludes.
