SKF Linearsysteme GmbH (Germany, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SKF AB, Sweden) recently opened its all-new plant in Schweinfurt's Maintal industrial district.
Encompassing production and home-office operations, the 86,000 square foot facility employs approximately 250 people. Begun in 2001, it cost $9.5 million to build.
SKF Linearsysteme develops, manufactures and sells linear engineering systems from miniature linear ball bearings to precision positioning equipment as well as complete automated production and mounting process units. Applications include automotive, power tool, pneumatic and ergonomic systems.
