SKF introduces a new capability to customize super-precision bearings in small quantities for delivery in just days throughout North America to meet the most demanding lead-time, performance, and/or productivity requirements. SKF super-precision bearings ideally suit machine tool applications by integrating unique designs and materials enabling higher speeds and higher load-carrying capacities than standard bearings. Quick and timely customization offers advantages across the machine tool marketplace by allowing OEMs to meet particular customer requests and helping end-users in the aftermarket to avoid costly repairs and downtime should bearings need to be replaced.

SKF super-precision bearings are engineered to provide the necessary and critical high speeds, high running accuracy, high system rigidity, low heat generation, and low noise and vibration levels essential for optimized performance in the machine tool industry. All customization services are centralized and expedited at SKF’s North Charleston, SC, production facility, where the custom solutions are developed, tested, and packed in a dedicated and controlled environment.
