SKF Canada Buys Lubrications Systems Provider

SKF Canada has acquired Automatic Lubrication Systems (ALS) of Burlington, Ont.

ALS -- a leading service company to Canadian mobile transportation equipment and industrial machinery customers for Vogel Centralized Lubrication systems -- is a family run organization serving the Canadian marketplace, founded in 1976 by Nick Nyenhuis.

Nyenhuis will continue in his leadership role and further develop lubrication business opportunities.

"SKF capabilities and market knowledge enables ALS to grow into other industrial segments. The synergies are numerous and access to SKF technical knowledge will allow us to further expand our customer base and contribute to the success of the SKF Lubrication Systems," he said.

In announcing the acquisition, Jan Lindhe, president of SKF Canada said "the combination the ALS team with SKF Canada strengthens our lubrication capabilities and solidifies our leadership position within the Canadian marketplace."
