SKF Announces 2010 Training-course Schedule

SKF is running courses to help engineers improve their skills, learn about new technologies and discover techniques for increasing machine and plant efficiency, reliability and performance.

The training courses will be delivered by experienced SKF trainers.

Among the courses on offer are sessions covering every aspect of machine reliability, from the shop floor to the executive office.

The Work Identification courses include methods and technologies for identifying the condition and maintenance requirements of machinery, while the Work Execution courses include correct bearing application and failure assessment, as well as best practices in lubrication, installation, precision alignment, balancing and post-maintenance testing.

In addition to the training courses offered by SKF's Reliability Maintenance Institute (RMI) at its offices in Luton and Aberdeen, a customised programme can be arranged on client premises.

Alternatively, e-learning courses covering a range of topics enable flexible, self-paced learning.

Other specialist training courses on offer include a two-day introductory course titled Noise and Vibration in Industry, covering the basics of noise and vibration and FFT-based signal analysis; and railway bearing-related courses in accordance with the national standards specified by the rail industry.

The two-day course Noise and Vibration in Industry will be held in either Birmingham, Manchester or CMC Livingston from 15 - 16 June, 14 - 15 September and 23 - 24 November.

A Root Cause Bearing Damage Analysis course will take place on 29 April, 2 June, 4 August, 13 October and 15 December at SKF's Luton site.

This one day course can be customised to a two-day course to meet business requirements.
