Siemens presents new Arpex all-steel high-performance couplings

At Hannover Messe 2013 Siemens will be presenting the new Arpex all-steel high-performance couplings with improved ratings. Compared to the previous version, these couplings are characterized by an increased axial offset and a larger bore capacity in the coupling hubs. They also have a lower weight, yet a higher torque capacity. This has been achieved by an optimized component geometry, for instance the improved center of gravity of the half coupling. Arpex high-performance couplings are particularly suitable for high-speed applications in the power generation, oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries, and are especially used in gas and steam turbines, generators, compressors and pumps.

The new Arpex all-steel high-performance couplings from Siemens offer increased torque capacity with lower weight.

The couplings have been designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in accordance with 94/9/EC and meet the requirements of API 671 / ISO 10441. The Arpex high-performance couplings can withstand temperatures between -40
