Shougang Factory Produce 7,221 tons Bearing Steel in Feb
In February, Shougang Group, a leading steel maker in China, finished the monthly target smoothly on their No.2 and 4 lines. Besides, they produced 7,221 tons bearing steel which was just developed recently in the No.3 Factory.
This month saw a unprecedented monthly result of Shougang Group in production and energy consumption. Shougang No.3 Factory produced 179,800 tons steel products, an excess of 23,800 tons over the monthly target. At the same time, the coal consumption for every ton of steel was lowered to 15.22 kg.
Shougang Group, located in Beijing, is one of the leading iron & steel makers in China. They started to produce iron products in 1919 and had their first side-blown converter in 1958, ending their no-steel period. In 1964, they built the first Oxygen top-blown converter with a capacity of 30 tons in China, which became the turning point of China's steel industry.
They have three steel mills, two wire steel factories, sheet steel factory etc. Besides, the group has entered many other sectors such as mining, machinery, electrical products, construction, property, service etc.
