Shenyang Machine Tool and EdgeCAM Become Strategic Partners

Chinese Shenyang Machine Tool (Group) Co Ltd (SMTCL), a leading machine tool manufacturer in China, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Pathtrace Limited, the developer of EdgeCAM software based in the UK.

Under this agreement, EdgeCAm will be SMTCL's first choice for CAM software.

Liu Chunshi, director of the design institute of SMTCL, expects the strategic partnership will give a boost to SMTCL's R&D while bringing convenience to the user, thanks to EdgeCAM's wide adaptability and strong programming capabilities.

He is looking forward to the programming support that EdgeCAM will provide for SMTCL's high-end CNC machine tools including the newly developed turn-mill machining centers and 5-axis machining centers.
