Schaeffler says the Generation C deep groove ball bearingsSCHAEFFLER has developed the Generation C deep groove ball bearings, which feature optimised contact geometry between the rolling elements and the ring raceways to reduce noise and extend operating life.
Schaeffler says the Generation C deep groove ball bearings have been designed to offer 35% less friction and 50% less noise than their predecessors. They also benefit from more effective sealing and a riveted steel cage.
According to Schaeffler, the raceway curvature between the balls and rings was designed to reduce the chance of misalignment between the inner and outer ring. The HRS seal has modified double lip geometry and is made from nitrile butadiene rubber.
The Generation C deep groove ball bearings are ideal for applications which require low noise and smooth running, such as electric motors, power tools and ventilators. They can operate in temperatures from -30 to 120 degrees Celsius.
