New tape tension pulleys, developed by Schaeffler Group Industrial for conveyor systems in automated pick-and-place machines, enable the reliable, high-precision positioning of circuit boards and thus improve the efficiency of placement processes. The compact assemblies are especially easy to mount and offer high economic efficiency due to the manufacturing technologies used.

(Toothed) belts in pick-and-place systems for electronic assemblies must offer extremely precise conveyance and placement of circuit boards. The smaller these transport belts, the larger the circuit board area that can be populated and the more efficient is the population process. Standard tape tension pulleys are not up to this task
