Flexibility and Efficiency in Texturing Machines
Its revised compacting rollers and thread guidance rollers for texturing machines mean that Schaeffler Group Industrial offers components that ensure secure and smooth processing of the filament. These rolling bearings therefore make a considerable contribution to high processing quality. The filament reaches speeds of up to 1,500 meters a minute and the spindle can reach speeds of 25,000 rpm during processing. High running smoothness and operation without vibrations at high accelerations and speeds are essential here.
Thread guidance rollers: Less mass for quieter running
The new INA thread guidance roller FRM now has a deep drawn outer ring, which means it is manufactured without cutting. It was thus possible to make considerable reductions in the mass of the component. Overall this results in a 30-percent reduction in mass moment of inertia and a 66-percent reduction in breakaway torque, which considerably increases the acceleration capacity. The high-precision ball bearings we use also ensure less friction and lower operating clearance; the smoothness of running of the roller and filament improves as a whole. In addition, the roller is coated with a very thin layer of chromium. The wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant surface can therefore withstand the impairments caused by the high accelerations and, at the same time, ensures that even the thinnest of filaments are not damaged.
Lightweight and compact: The new INA thread guidance roller FRM now has a deep drawn outer ring, which means it is manufactured without cutting. The lower mass provides a considerably improved acceleration capacity.
Compacting rollers with and without roller coverings
Schaeffler also supplies INA compacting roller OWA without a roller covering. This means customers can design their own coverings separately. The compacting roller is a special bearing with a tilting mechanism for the pin. This mechanism allows the roller to tilt in precisely one plane. Misalignment can thus be compensated. If the compacting roller tilted in more than one plane, thread running would become imprecise. The compacting roller is very lightweight and can accelerate quickly when it contacts the delivery shaft. An elastomer material is usually vulcanized on an aluminum sleeve in order to create a roller covering that protects the thread and ensures adhesion.
Flexible: Schaeffler can supply INA compacting roller OWA without a roller covering if required. This enables customers to customize the roller to their own requirements.
