Schaeffler and Team ABT take part in world debut

Over a year of planning, developing, organizing and testing – next weekend the time will finally come: Formula E will be celebrating its eagerly awaited world premiere in Beijing. Schaeffler is proud to be part of the action right from the first minute. Our company is tackling the challenge of enabling mobility for tomorrow with all its expertise and passion. The electrification of the automobile plays a major part in this.

Formula E ushers in a new generation of motorsport. For the first time, automobile races will be held with all-electric vehicles. The identical-specification formula cars achieve a speed of up to 230 km/h, accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. During the near-60-minute race there is one pit stop at which the car is changed. Schaeffler joins the Formula E grid as the exclusive Technology Partner of Team ABT Sportsline and is featured with its logos on the cars of Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi.
