Dec. 17 2005, Shanghai CSTIND(Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense) announced that Shanghai Bearing Technology Institute(SBTI) have been qualified to produce bearings that being used as part of military weapons.
On Dec.15 2005, Shanghai CSTIND sent expert panel to SBTI to inspect their qualification of producing military weapon bearings. After carefully inspection, the panel finally reached an agreement that SBTI have the capability and qualification to manufacture bearings for military use. Then, CSTIND granted the company Military Device Manufacturing Certificate.
In the passing 2005, SBTI had developed various new bearings which include 34 new type ball bearings, 21 plain bearings etc. At the beginning of 2006, the orders they received have been placed up to the end of this year.
SBTI is a subsidiary of SBC Group.
