RKB produces the largest ever SRB with pressed steel cage

The RKB Group has successfully designed and manufactured the largest ever spherical roller bearing with pressed steel cage (CC) and ribless inner ring in the world. The 240/560 ECCW33XS1VL bearing, with bore diameter of 560 mm, has been expressly realized for operation in heavy duty conditions, where the relevant axial loads acting on the inner ring flanges may lead to fractures and premature failures. A stricter sorting of the rollers, manufactured according to the RKB Tough Roller Technology, in combination with a new design concept and RKB premium steel with special bainite heat treatment, permit to obtain much higher toughness, resistance and reliability, and longer average service life.
