Qier and Wafangdian Machine Tool Build Base for Verticle Lathe

On Jan. 15, the Qier Machine Tool Dalian CNC Machine Tool Co.,Ltd held open ceremony in Wafangdian Industrial Park. The company is formed by Qier Machine Tool Co.,Ltd and Wafangdian Machine Tool Group, aiming to develop into the production base of large size vertical CNC lathe in China.

Qier Machine Tool is the key enterprise in domestic machine tool industry and state assigned manufacturer for critical equipments. The domestic market shares of them in major product selling always keeps above 85%, making them the largest CNC vertical boring and milling machines in the world.

Wafangdian Machine Tool Group is one of the Top 500 Machinery Enterprises. In recent years, they have produced over 14,000 verticle lathes altogether, being delivered to 32 provinces including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Over 50 percent of similar machine tools on the market are made by them.

The joint venture formed by such two industrial giants will surely produce a large and strong base for verticle CNC lathes in China.
