NTN Selected for JPMA Awards in the New Product Category

 NTN Advanced Materials Corporation, a subsidiary of NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) has been selected for two JPMA (Japan Powder Metallurgy Association) Awards in the New Products Category (New Design), which recognizes outstanding powder metallurgy products.

Product Overview

1. Multi Layer BEARPHITE
An oil-impregnated sintered bearing with a high wear-resistance internal layer, and a high-strength, high-toughness outer layer using the world's first double-molding method. The use of structural material that does not require special heat treatment achieves excellent wear-resistance and a high-strength at low cost.

2. Hybrid Magnetic Material Reactor Cores for Booster
A hybrid structure magnetic material product with compression material on the inner side and amorphous injection material on the outer side. Features a compact design that eliminates magnetic saturation even in high magnetic fields, and also limits decreases in characteristics at high frequencies for use at high currents and frequencies.

1. Multi Layer BEARPHITE
The product was recognized for its novelty and uniqueness that eliminate the need for carburizing and cutting processes, with the use of a dual layer structure with an inner layer that improves sliding characteristics and wear-resistance and an outer layer that increases strength and toughness. It was also valued for its contribution to industry by achieving a 30% reduction in costs, including material costs, by involving fewer machining processes.

2. Hybrid Magnetic Material Reactor Cores for Booster
The product was recognized for its novelty and uniqueness that give it optimal magnetic characteristics with its hybrid structure. It was valued for its contribution to industry by developing a new medical device market, and also as a technology that can be applied to onboard automotive cores used in electric vehicles and similar applications.
