NSK China Kick Off Conference(pic)
On Feb. 12, the 12th NSK China Kick Off Conference was held in Hongqiao Hotel, Shanghai. Present at the conference were NSK's partners all over the country, including general managers of subsidiary factories, distributors, investors and technical staffs invited from NSK head office in Japan.
Due to the ever expanding economy in China, Chinese business has become the indispensable part of developing schemes of many multinationals, NSK is no exception.
Thus, 12 high level management members led by Seiichi Asaka, CEO and president of NSK, also attended this conference, aiming to discuss the great cause of NSK China with all staffs.

As a tradition, Seiichi Asaka made the first speech. He first introduced briefly the uncertainties on economic growth posed by complex world economic situation, political distability, energy shortage etc.
Then, he reviewed events for NSK in 2006; released the 146th NSK fiscal report, including sales, operating margin and result of target-hitting activities, appreciating NSK China for its role in surpassing the 2006 target.
At last, Asaka explained the changes made in departments of the headquarters and the corresponding influences on NSK China.
During his speech, Asaka reiterated the importance of "Total Quality No.1", enhancing ability in operating and managing, establishing a visible marketing system, strengthening personnel training etc. which are vital to their approaching century anniversary as well as the goal of "1 Trillion Yen Sales".

In the course of the conference, Mr. Takahashi, representative general of NSK China, also summed up the overal performance in 2006. When it comes to the CHQ operating principle in 2007, he mentioned that they will adjust their own pace to meet the increasingly changing economic environment in China.
And all NSK subsidiaries in China reported their working performances and shortages in 2006. Additionally, all related departments introduced their sales plans, marketing activities, personnel recruiting schemes and some middle long term programs like talent training.
On Feb. 13, the conference moved to NSK Kunshan Plant. This is the first time that such a conference held in a plant, indicating that the plant is playing a major role in fulfilling NSK's overall development.
Having heard the report made by Kunshan plant, Asaka accompanied by other management members toured around the plant.
